It will add a modern yet rustic touch as well as a little dimension to your space. This piece is 48.5in x 48.5in. This piece has a very unique look as it was made by hand torching each piece of wood to get the perfect texture and color. It comes equipped with a hanging bracket so it’s ready to be hung straight out of the box. Our wood wall decor is 100% handmade in Las Vegas. Most of our pieces are one of a kind which means no one else in the world will have the same piece. Let our creative work become a conversation piece in your dwelling. • 100% Cotton macrame fiber • Natural Koa* wood • Black and Natural macrame • 22 1/2” wide x 41 1/4” long fibers • Dip Dye method • Handpicked healing crystal/stone included J. Durán Art + Home is a collection of creative fiber art comprised of macrame and wool by artist Ja’Nay Durán. Hundreds of cords and strands are suspended from special wood panels and dip dyed or individually hand dyed by J. Durán herself. “VALLEY II” is the second of its kind and is a specialty tapestry design in the J. Durán Art + Home collection due to its intricate pattern. The top and bottom of the tapestry were dipped in black and the centerpiece is woven with black macrame cord that forms mountains/valleys. Created with 100% cotton fibers on beautiful natural piece of koa wood that has not been stained. This tapestry showcases black and the original color of macrame. Complete with a precise uneven trim . This piece would make for a stunning addition to any wall but especially in a modern/mid-century modern home. *Koa is a Hawaiian name meaning “warrior” or “strong”. ——————————————————————– ADDITIONAL DETAILS: • All pieces include mounting hardware and install/care instructions with orders. • All fiber art – final sale. • Each fiber art is handmade and can not be duplicated to appear exact. IN PHOTO | DIMENSIONS: 33 inches x 46 inches per piece. | COLOR: Light American AVAILABLE DIMENSIONS 25X35/30X42/33X46/36X60 Our three dimensional art is created from lumber to finished piece in a countryside shop. To create each piece of dowel art, the wood is selected, milled down to identical pieces, and individually sanded on all four sides. If stain is used in the piece, it is applied before putting together to insure a uniform look every time. It is then put together, adhering each piece with wood glue and nails for a quality and lasting bond. After the edges are trimmed down, and touch ups are done, it is then ready for finish. On all pieces except for the natural wood pieces that are left raw, we use a water-based polyurethane. I use a matte finish to keep the pieces muted and allow the design to be the center focus. This process usually takes an entire day as to brush polyurethane onto these Dimensional art pieces is tedious work. Each piece takes 2-4 coats before completion. The final stages of these pieces is to attach the frame, touch up the piece, fill in nail holes, and apply hardware. I use a high end French cleat system to insure the ability to hang these pieces almost anywhere and with ease. The pieces are wrapped with hand painted packaging, and placed in foam, and boxed to insure safe delivery to your doorstep. As well I started including smaller segments which let me insert a pop of color here and there, it really ads a dimension to the scene I hadn’t expected The grain in this wood wall art is really something to behold, running underneath the cuts and colors. Check out the knots and swirls, there is nothing like this natural medium to give your wall art a very ‘alive’ feeling.
