We were honoured to have our home in South Melbourne featured in the December issue of Home Beautiful. I have to say, the path to renovating our beautiful home has been a journey of 10 years, with 4 different renovations, 6 moves to 7 different homes & apartments. With kids in tow, it was no easy feat but in hindsight, it was so so worth it. We built the home of our dreams, a project I’d always wanted to complete, where we were able to restore a heritage home and build a modern addition in one of Melbourne’s best suburbs. The 1870’s double-storey Victorian terrace is just across from the South Melbourne market, which is such a luxury to be close to. You can read the full article here from Home Beautiful and nosey through some of the pics below. Incidentally, we have renters in our home now, as we spend some time in France living a more simple life. Isn’t it ironic how after years of working towards a goal, we live in our home for less than 2 years and then decide to ‘pare it down’ for a bit. We love every bit of our house but it’s the experiences in life that make us, so we were easily able to leave it behind, to live out another dream for a while. All images are by Armelle Habib and styling was beautifully done by Jacqui Moore. Article by Jackie Brygel. To read more about colourful homes & styling kids rooms, have a read here. We had a super popular post about the Top 15 ideas for storage in Kids rooms & Playrooms, which you can also have a read here.
