Today I am sharing an easy & quick tutorial for DIY Birch Vases. These are perfect for Spring & Summer decorating & entertaining. And plus they are also a great up-cycling project, which who doesn’t love that:)!

This is an attractive tall bouquet vase stamped with what looks like a J inside a triangle, which looks more like a sail, and marked 2104-3. This is consistent with the Jeannette trademark but I was unable to see a sample. Jeannette derived the name from their location in Jeannette, PA, est. 1900. The company closed in 1983. No chips or cracks.7 ¼” tallJeannette Glass (1887 – 1983); Jeannette, Pennsylvania. Using a charter from the state of Pennsylvania, The Jeannette Bottle Works Company was originally founded in 1887. The original founders/managers of the plant included James A. Chambers, H.Sellers McKee, J. Gardner Cassatt, Horace Magee, and B. Maurice Gaskill. A company town formed around the factory and was named for McKee’s wife, Jeannette. At times there would be as many as 7 different glass plants operating in this city many started by this original list of illustrious names in the glass industry. Companies including Fort Pitt Glass, Brass and Glass Company, Westmoreland Glass, and others operated here over the years. … Jeannette made purchases of local glass facilities in 1961 to expand and added a new technical glass department. In 1963 the company installed the largest electric glass furnace in the world in order to melt heat-resisting glass. In 1970 the plant name was changed again to Jeannette Corporation. They were officially taken over by a leveraged buy-out in 1981 by John P. This vase is a piece from Jeanette Glass Co. It was a part of their carnival glass line. This color is called Marigold. It has a beautiful tree bark pattern which really brings out the different tones in the vase. It has what looks like a crack in the bottom but I believe it may just be glaze because it does not go all the way into the glass, no chips . It is marked on the bottom. It is 7 1/2 inches tall and about 4 1/2 inches wide.SKU # 13202
