Tabletop rental brand, borrowed BLU recently hosted an event design challenge where participating creatives were assigned a color and tabletop to design. From there, they had creative freedom to design their dream tablescape. borrowed BLU is recappng the challege (that we live streamed!) and each designer is sharing their tips and favorite trends from their table. The vision behind bB Volume 1 was simple… fine art meets high fashion! Our idea was to celebrate how far we’ve come as a company, and do so with vendors that have helped us along the way. Everything was carefully thought out from hand selecting each vendor, how the tables would look next to each other based on their color block, the branded ice cubes that went in the cocktails, down to the table designer challenge! This industry has been lacking an event that showcases the talent of many different vendors and designers. As visionaries, we pride ourselves on taking any idea and turning it into reality. We saw something missing and wanted to fill the void. Overall, our vision was to throw a fun, yet elevated event in the hopes of inspiring our community. We’re confident we did just that! PLEASE READ THE FULL LISTING. DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND THE HOOP AND RECLAIMED WOOD STANDS ARE CURRENTLY AT 4 WEEKS. Alternatively there is also the full metal hoop version of this product that is not on such a lengthy delivery time. This is a Handmade reusable hoop – in welded steel. This listing is for centre pieces only and the listing has changed so that you can buy the hoop and the base complete. Options are 40cm hoop & base 50cm hoop and base 60cm hoop and base. 70cm hoop and base. Please see drop down list for finishes. All centre peice sets come with a 34cm x 22cm base in a number of finishes PLEASE NOTE – They fit together by the hoop sitting between the planks and a minimum of 2-3cm of the hoop size will be used up by this. The planks will be slightly wider than the gap required (1cm) for the hoop so depending on the size of your cake bottom tier and if you are wrapping the hoop with decoration you may want to adjust the supports under neath with a screwdriver. If you require the distance to be set and not allow any room for decorations please add any notes to the ‘note to seller at the cart’ about any specific requirements. The reclaimed wood base is available in natural (Mid to light oak) Rustic (Dark Oak) Black or White Wash. Natural finish comes with little protection or finish on it i recommend you use a clear wax to help maintain the look and feel of the product. ❤️ Decoration not included – suitable for DIY use. Hoop care – Please be aware that the hoops may tarnish or could chip with over use (especially if used at Weddings every week) and the hoop is made from welded steel and if left out in changing weather conditions or is exposed to water the steel will rust over time – HOWEVER the hoops can sprayed with rustoleum spray (available in all the metallic colours used) so if you lightly sand the hoop you are able to re-spray the hoop again – a new coat of rustoleum will bring them back to life and you can continue to use the hoop for a number of years. Please note that everything we make in metal is handmade and there will be a welded joint and some minor inperfections.
