New year, new layout! I got the urge to rearrange my living room furniture this weekend after I had packed away all the Christmas decor. Okay, maybe not all the Christmas decor, since I do still have a few naked Christmas trees lingering around that are waiting to be put up into the attic. Neverth

Sand in between your toes the sea breeze in your hair a little salt spray in the air and warm sunshine. I pretty much love the ocean. It is a rejuvenating and relaxing place and I could spend hours with my toes in the sand and my head in the clouds just enjoying all the serene beauty. Though I don’t have a coastal decorating theme I have always mixed in a few pieces here and there. From shells to starfish- you might have noticed a couple popping up from time to time. But since it is Friday- that means it is crush time and this week- it is all about decor with a coastal vibe. Coastal decor is always so pretty with an abundance of soft faded colors mingling with that pop of sea glass green or blue. From a little to a lot -it is an easy look to mix in with other styles- from 1 piece to a whole bookcase to a whole room. HGTV (You can find links and more of my favorites in my Beach Decor pinterest board ) Coastal Living Domaine Home Leo Designs courtesy of HOUZZ Totally not a bookcase display – but seriously, I am crushing on that boat on the mantel. HGTV Recently I was challenged to re-create a look that inspired me while I was at High Point Market but using finds from HomeGoods. I chose a bookcase that was very neutral and quiet as the inspiration. Eloquence I styled one of bookcases in the cottage with a coastal vibe and used a mix of new and vintage to create the look. I used a lot of what I had on hand like the old worn books, vintage bottles and some of the seashells but the rest came from either the hardware store (sponges) or HomeGoods. Kind of loving how it turned out and it was fun to play with a different look in the cottage AND it might inspire a tiny change for summer out there. What about you- have you gone a little coastal in your home? Happy Friday! Enter your email address: Delivered by FeedBurner
