Trees
The Japanese Zelkova is a graceful vase-shaped shade tree with elliptical, dark green foliage. In the Fall its leaves turn a showy mix of yellow, rust, bronze, dark red and purple. Its attractive steel-gray bark exfoliates to expose orange shading beneath. A good street tree, it tolerates urban conditions very well. It has become popular as a superior replacement for the American Elm.
