Vaseline Glass Hyacinth Forcing Vase Flower Bulb Jar
This sleek hyacinth vase was produced in a vibrant Vaseline glass that glows under a blacklight. The bottom bulges out to provide stability while the neck is pinched to support a flower bulb above water. Standing 7⅛” high, the indoor forcing vase is 3¼” wide at the base and 3” wide at the rim. It is a vintage flower bulb jar with no nicks, chips, cloudiness or hairlines, but it does have a small bubble from its making. There are soft wear marks on the underside commensurate with its age. Position the vase on a bright windowsill, and watch as it begins its blooming ballet. Periodically change the water and keep the level at the base of the bulb. Turn it every day to keep it growing upright. Forced bulbs do not usually make the transition to outside garden plants, so toss them in the compost bin once the nearly two-week fragrant show is over.
